Abstract	The main goal of the Estonian Fisheries Strategy 2007-13 is to achieve the sustainable use of resources and to restructure the sector so as to increase the income of people dependent on fisheries. This restructuring would take into account the availability of resources and market developments, and be based on a sectoral approach with special measures for each fisheries sector.
