| Abstract | There were many theories for explaining the characteristics of photonic crystal fiber and the experimental results were rare. The analysis of the theoretical results and the experimental results was very rare. For the problem a method was proposed. The method was to draw the equivalency-light-intensity curves of an experiment for the photonic crystal fiber. The method was divided into four aspects. The first one was to obtain the original image from a reference by Photoshop. The second one was to read a certain gray value for the original image by Matlab and to read the coordinates of the feature points for stretching and rotation by Multimedia ToolBook. The third one was to reproduce a series of new images based on gray values for the stretched and rotated image. The last one was to combine the some images based on gray values and obtain the equivalency-light-intensity curves of an experiment for the photonic crystal fiber. The result of the equivalency-light-intensity curves of an experiment was analyzed with the theoretical curves based on Localized Basis Functions Method (LBFM). The deviation was 5% with the minimum root-mean-square search method. The results had shown two points. The drawing method of the equivalency-light-intensity curves of an experiment for the photonic crystal fiber was effective. The minimum root-mean-square search method was a good method for estimating the deviation between the theory of the LBFM and experimental result of optical transmission in photonic crystal fiber. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community.
