| Abstract | Studying of diffuse attenuation coefficient is the basis for the bathymetry of remote sensing inversion. The research of water attenuation coefficient carried on the use of HR2000 fiber optic spectrometer discovers that the attenuation coefficient at different depths has good spectral features. There are two peaks near the 700nm and 800nm. As the depths increases, the peak near 800nm diminishes. At first the attenuation coefficient reduces progressively, and then it tends to have uniformity variations. The Kd(490) at 555nm have the highest correlation with the remote sensing reflectance, which contributes to the inversion of Kd(490) by using the band combination of Rrs(555) and Rrs(490). Besides that, diffuse attenuation coefficient of each band has a very good linear relationship, thus we can calculation the diffuse attenuation coefficient of any band through a known one, which can greatly increase the accuracy when use the principal component analysis in Color Inversion. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
