| Abstract | Peer-to-peer (P2P) computing is becoming increasingly popular as the Web continues to grow in both content and the number of connected devices. P2P provides a network that relies on the computing power and bandwidth of the participants in the network rather than concentrating it in a relatively few servers. However, in a P2P environment, most of the time, there are a lot of idle resources that can be harvested. Each peer is autonomous, while connection and network address may vary. A flexible and efficient job scheduling is needed to harvest the idle computing power, which is Motorolareg iDENtrade (integrated digital enhanced network) phones located locally and at plantation. This paper discusses how the distributed automated testing in P2P computing systems, which is using JXTAtrade technology, can be done. And also, what are the advantages of using P2P computing environment rather than the conventional computing system. Furthermore, the job scheduler framework for this P2P system is also included in this paper. The design of this job scheduler is done such a way to allow multiple consumers or clients to schedule the jobs to the resource providers and execute on its own. National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
