Abstract	The current and successful trend of Online Social Networks and the availability of programming interfaces to develop applications for them, offer telecommunication operators the opportunity to introduce a new type of services to enhance the best of both worlds: Social Communications. These services try to provide an integration between basic, advanced and convergent communication services and the social relationships built on Online Social Networks, empowering and facilitating the spontaneous appearance of opportunistic communications on both the telecommunications and social context. In this paper an introduction to this new communications concept is given and an architecture proposal for the development and deployment of Social Communications applications is presented.
