Abstract	the paper addresses wavelet filter bank as an attractive wire access technique. Wavelet filter bank with low adjacent spectral leakage and interference resistance capability provides robust and efficient communications in the presence of channel impairments encountered on a real communication cable line channel followed by a stationary zero-mean Gaussian noise source which is independent of transmitted symbols. Using the simulated error rate and the loss SNR over different sub-channels as the objective functions, we point to the gain that can be obtained by the switching from popular uniform multi-tone to wavelet filter bank-based non-uniform Multi Tone transceiver. Signal and interference analysis of the wavelet-based scheme is presented with time-domain equalizer which precedes the filter-bank demodulator, different encoding and equally distributed signal energy over the sub channels, the simulation results claim that the schemes are no longer on a par.
