Abstract	Coverage is an essential and important issue in wireless networks. In this paper, we propose a novel mathematical morphology based antenna deployment scheme for indoor wireless coverage. We partition the whole indoor area into two types of sub-areas, namely, corridor regions and sub-main regions. For these sub-areas, we extract their skeletons, find initial points on these skeletons and place antennas from these initial points along the skeleton branches in specific distances. At last we take the obstacles into consideration and refine the deployment. We compare the proposed scheme with some other schemes, including the site survey based scheme, coverage prediction based scheme and genetic algorithm based scheme. Simulation results show that the average number of antennas used in our proposed scheme is less than other schemes in each scenario while the computation is not complicated.
