Abstract	Real-time monitoring with intelligent grid observation reliable algorithms for transmission lines generally increases the line capability by reducing the fuzzy region (safety margin) around the secure operation area of networks and their parameters when close to voltage collapse or other deviations (overloads, under-voltages, etc.). The innovative noniterative load flow and state estimation methodology developed at Aplicaciones en Informatica Avanzada generates an increase in capability. This can be attained with an investment in software applications for control centers within the range of $2000000-$4000000 per transmission network grid of approximately 1000 nodes (size of the California transmission grid and certain subtransmission and distribution lines). These results provide other value added power system advanced applications for the same investment within the context of cost reduction and security improvements at installations. Hence we propose these methodologies as techniques for choice under FERC Order EL01-47-00.
