| Abstract | The work presented in this paper concerns the conception and the realization of a photovoltaic system (PV) provided with a digital MPPT control. More particularly, we present the functioning and the improvement of the performances of a PV system adapted by a digital MPPT control further to the sudden variations of the weather conditions (solar irradiation,…) and the load. This is obtained by the implementation of a digital MPPT control extremal with a microcontroller PIC. The role of this MPPT control is to follow the maximal power point (MPP) of the PV panel independently to disturbances of the system (variation of the irradiation). We have experimented the PV system during days, when the solar irradiation presents sudden variations. The obtained results show the immediate oscillation of the point of functioning of the panel around the MPP independently of the variations of the irradiation. The good functioning of the DC-DC converter Boost (in order of 90 %) and the low energy power losses by the PV panel (lower than 10 %) allowed us to conclude the good functioning and satisfactory performances of the PV system realized in this work. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
