Abstract	A new nano actuation system to handle living cells and to perform minimally invasive micro surgery was developed. Actuator size is scaled between 5 μm–10 mm and can be actuated within any kind of liquid. We succeeded in developing a new photo-curable polymer with both “magnetism” and “neutral buoyancy” for stable 3D drive/control within liquids. Micro/nano stereolithography was utilized for 3D micro-fabrication. Precise motion control required for cell handling was demonstrated. Unlike conventional research, our system realized precise and dynamic 3D motion and can also be combined with laser trapping.
