| Abstract | Modern coping with environmental problems supports the sustainable growth of enterprises. Currently Japan ranks first in the number of ISO 14001 environmental management system standard registrations, with over 12,000 enterprises registered and about 70% of its listed companies actively involved. However, in spite of having a very good technical foundation, most of the Japanese companies are unable to envision their future in a situation of economic slowdown that accompanies the loss of speed in environmental management participation after the bursting of the bubble economy. This can be said to be the result of promoting environmental management systems that had become a dead letter without vision, foresightedness and awareness of risks. Today, responding to environmental problems that leads to developing a sustainable society has become a successful factor for enterprises. In this paper, e-environmental solutions of IBM based on its environmental management system that was put into practice for 35 years is introduced. IBM actively pursued leadership in environmental protection in every possible business activity with the policy that had been revised 3 times as the core. Maintaining a safe & sound work environment, protecting the earth's environment and preserving energy and natural resources has contributed to maintaining a sound business for IBM for years. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
