Abstract	Information system managers, senior executive and strategic planners are increasingly turning their attention for opportunities for achieving for competitive advantage and effective business value through implementing reliable information Technology (IT) strategy. IT strategy is a comprehensive plan that information technology management professionals use to guide their organizations. Executing an IT strategy requires strong IT leadership; the chief information officer (CIO) and chief technology officer (CTO) need to work closely with business, finance and legal departments as well as with other user and stakeholders groups within the organization. This paper is attempts to explain the importance of integrate both IT and business strategies, and the critical success factors and challenges, barriers that may face organization through developing (IT) strategy.
