| Abstract | Single-phase voltage source inverters are commonly used for interfacing small distributed generation units to the grid. Requirement in terms of THD, reliability and power factor correction is getting tightening day by day, so it is necessary to implement efficient and reliable algorithms that are capable to adapt control parameters to the varying grid operating conditions, in order to assure low current distortion, as well high efficiency and reliability. This paper deals with the investigation of both configuration topology and control algorithm with the purpose of achieving high performance in terms of efficiency as well THD of the output current, despite the non ideal grid characteristics. The proposed inverter uses a second order generalized integrator based phase-locked loop, a single loop current control based on a grid frequency tuned proportional-resonant controller, and a damped output LC filter in cascade with a switching frequency tuned LC-series trap-filter. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
