| Abstract | Refund engine is a daemon responsible for processing a return and orchestrating diff erent actions on behalf of the customer. Some of these actions include: De-Activating a retrocharge. De-Registration of Kindle devices. Finalizing Taxes. Calculating policies for taking actions and executing them. The process done by refund engine is a combination of reconciliation, or- chestration and execution. This coupling between diff erent systems has made it rigid. The project involved migrating refund engine to a new platform to make return processing exible, testable, scalable and extendable. |
