Abstract | Cycadopteris brauniana Zigno and four new speciesof the genus (C. pulcherrima, C. auriculata, C.indica and C. majus). a new species of Nipaniophyllum (N. hirsutum and another of Ginkgoites (G. feistmantelii) form the subject of the present paper. All the species of Cycadopteris have been distinguished from one another on the basis of their cuticular structure. N. hirsutum is characterized by having a large number of trichome bases on both the upper and lower surfaces and by having on the lower side cells with straight or slightly undulated walls. G. feistmantelii is different from the other known species of Ginkgoites as it has only a slight notch near the apex and is not lobed. It has also very few veins. |
