Description | Drawing for a three-panel comic strip showing the title character, Skippy, walking home in the dark followed by a sobbing child. When another child they pass on the way asks why the smaller boy is crying, Skippy replies, "He can't find his shadow an' he thinks I got it." Crosby began drawing Skippy for Life magazine in 1923. In 1945, in the face of his right-wing politics and court case with the IRS, King Features Service canceled the feature. |
