Description | Drawing for a two-panel comic strip shows, in the first panel, Marcia Perkins wearing around her neck a sign that states "Don't Kiss This Girl"; her lips emit 451°F electromagnetic heat, which melts the minds of boys who kiss her, so she has been declared a health hazard by the "Dept. of Health, Education and Welfare". She walks in the middle of a parade of scruffy students headed toward a love-in; they are carrying signs that state "Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything" [SWINE], "Non-Violence", "Shoot Brutal Cops!!", and "In case of enemy attack make love - not war". A well-dressed man, standing on the sidewalk, gives them a Bronx Cheer and says "You non-violents are phonies!!"; a dog next to him, barks its support. In the second panel, the youth attack, stomp on, and beat the man with their signs, which now state "Death to the enemies of non-violence", "Support Non-Violence or We'll Kill You!!", and "Hang opponents of non-violence to a sour apple tree". Three policemen enter from the right, coming to the man's rescue. |
