Description | Eleven-panel comic strip shows Terry as an Army Air Force officer and a friend visiting a nightclub in China where a dancer named Rouge is scheduled to perform. The friend makes an ill-advised mention of a bombing mission over Canton that is picked up by the waiter. Later Terry is shown in the apartment where Rouge is giving him a bed. Terry muses that as a spy, he is not effective. When Rouge returns, and the lights dim, Terry realizes that the people in the building must be operating a radio transmitter. Terry and the Pirates was an adventure strip begun in 1934, featuring Terry, a teenage boy, and his older friends in China. Terry matured as the strip continued, and he served in the military during World War II. |
