Some notable scenes include an encampment of Persian pilgrims en route to Mecca, and students at "Miss Arnot's School" in Jaffa; the Jezar Pasha Mosque in Akka (Acre); a Greek priest blessing children in Rāmah; children outside of the Presbyterian academy in Sidon; a silk factory in the Lebanese mountains; "summer houses" built on stilts near Caesarea Phillipi (Bāniyās); and the Jewish Quarter and its two domed synagogues, the Turkish military in formation at David's Castle, and the Armenian Patriarch and bishops performing an Easter ceremony in Jerusalem.
