Description | Predominately photographs of mosques in Istanbul, especially the Kariye Camii (Church of St. Saviour in Chora) and Ayasofya Camii (Hagia Sofia). Other mosques included are the Sultanahmet Camii, the Sulemaniye Camii, Rüstem Paşa Camii, Ayazma Camii, Sokollu Mehmed Paşa Camii, Şehzade Camii, Hamidiye Camii, Laleli Camii, Fatih Camii, Nuruosmaniye Camii, Yeni Camii Nusretiye Camii, Bodrum Camii, Büyük Mecidiye Camii, and Kiliç Ali Paşa Camii, Kücük Ayasofya Camii (Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus), and Pertevniyal Valide Sultan Camii. Also depicted is the Saint Irene Church. Photographs of Bergama depict ruins and the town. A few photographs of Egypt by Pascal Sebah include an Arab cemetery and the Mosque of al-Burdayni in Cairo, and the ruins at the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris at Ombos. Portraits portray a Bedouin man, Mehmet VI and the daughter of Caliph Abdulmecid II. |
