Description | Four-panel comic strip is one of a series in which Albert Alligator and Churchy La Femme, the turtle, try to write a love ballad for Deacon Mushrat to further his courtship of Miz Boombah. In this strip, Churchy is still confused, thinking the Deacon may be in love with him. Albert tries to correct him and offers to help in the composition, asking how to spell kisses. When Churchy says, "with a 'X' ..." Albert comes up with the following composition: "Dear X: XXXXXXXXXX. Very truly, X." He tells Churchy to "make it rhyme, an' let's send it!" |
