Description | Portrait shows people described in Eleanor Pray's letter of May 16, 1899: "I enclose a photo on the tennis court--Shramchenko, Tullie [Lindholm], Lolla [Lindholm], and Fedor Oskarovich [Stark]. Everybody says it is one of the best I have taken, for each likeness is perfect, although Vladimir Nikolaevich ought to have been nearer the front, he looks so small perched on the top step. The house is the Lindholm's and the road runs between that and the tennis court, and down the hill from the other side of the court is the upper end of the bay." (Source: B. Ingemanson, 2002) |
