| Description | Producer's note: I disagree with him on the flavor! It's a bit salty and tastes fishy, ocean-y, like any seaweed. -------- In this video, I demonstrate osmosis, using umibudo, "sea grapes." Osmosis is the diffusion of water across a semi-permeable membrane, and diffusion is movement from areas of high concentration, to areas of low concentration. I show three examples of osmosis: packing the umibudo in saltwater, how this preserves it, and rehydrating the umibudo. It's exciting how it moves when the water rushes in! Then, I taste Umibudo for the first time ever! . |
