Description | This is a traveling fellowship devoted to track and document marine debris around the world. As shifting ocean currents discharge large quantities of plastic waste into strategically located beaches, the multidisciplinary group will focus on collecting and transforming some of the found plastic into art installations that are to serve as stages to open up conversations about plastic pollution. These events are devoted to bring the public and local organizations together with international experts as a way to emphasize the global nature of this phenomenon. The journey will also coincide with major marine debris conferences, both providing an entry point into the political scenario and , building bridges among relevant sectors. |
