Description | (This video must be previewed. This is for older high school students. There are a few black-and-white images that show brief frontal nudity. There are graphic descriptions of death.) Oluale Kossola, also known as Cudjoe Lewis, was brought to the Unites States on the Clotilda, one of the last slave ships, more than fifty years after the importation of slaves had been outlawed. His memories as the last known survivor of the middle passage offer an almost lost insight into history, and poignant wisdom from a man who lived through enormous change.
