Description | The is a slideshow featuring photographs taken by Lewis Hine during the first decade of the 20th century. Mr. Hine was an activist fighting for reform of child labor laws in the US. He photographed children working in the most horrible conditions imaginable. A great video to help students understand the working conditions at that time and, perhaps, because many are the same age, the students can develop interest in this subject and reform in general. The students should listen to the words of the song as well. |
