Description | On March 25, 1911, 147 victims of the Triangle Shirt Waist tragedy, the largest part of them young girls, either crashed to death in panic stricken leaps from ledges 100 feet above the ground or, were trapped within the building, having no way of opening the doors that had been locked to prevent theft.
