Description | This is the 8th chapter namely “Quadrilaterals” of book entitled “Mathematics: class 9”. This chapter deals with Quadrilaterals quadrilateral which is a polygon with four edges (or sides) and four vertices or corners. Sometimes, the term quadrangle is used, by analogy with triangle, and sometimes tetragon for consistency with pentagon (5-sided), hexagon (6-sided) and so on. A quadrilateral is a simple closed figure formed by four lines in a plane. The sum of four angles in a quadrilateral is 3600 or 4 right angles. Trapezium, parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, square are special types ofquadrilaterals. Parallelogram is a special type of quadrilateral with many properties. |
