Description This is the eleventh chapter of "Let's Learn English" book of class III. The name of the chapter is “Our Lifeline-The Trees”. The story is about trees, animals and a woodcutter. There have two trees “Chintu and Pintu” in a beautiful forest, and they had many friends like rabbits, monkeys, a bunky bear and a wise old wolf. Suddenly, one day they saw a woodcutter, he decided to cut these huge trees. Then they discuss how can leave from this danger. After all they save his life from woodcutter. Woodcutter felt the love and affection of these trees and animals. He decided not to cut trees in future because trees give them so many things like shelter, food, fruits, medicines etc. Actually this story discusses what should do the useful trees, cut or not?

It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
