Description	পৃথিবী সৃষ্টির পর বহুদিন সময় লেগেছে অরণ্য ও প্রাণীকুলের নিজেদের মধ্যে একটা স্থিতাবস্থা আনতে। বুদ্ধিতে সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ হওয়ায় মানুষ সবদিক থেকে শ্রেষ্ঠ প্রতিপন্ন হয়েছে। কিন্তু মানুষ নিষ্ঠুরতার দিক থেকেও যে শ্রেষ্ঠের আসন দখল করেছে তা বন্যপ্রাণীদের উপর তার আচরণ প্রত্যক্ষ করলেই বোঝা যায়। উন্নয়নের নামে মানুষ বারবার অরণ্য ও বন্যপ্রাণীদের জীবন দুর্বিষহ করে তুলেছে। মানুষের ক্রমোন্নতির সাথে সাথে অরণ্য ও বন্যপ্রাণীদের দুরবস্থার কথাই এই প্রবন্ধে আলোচিত হয়েছে। It took a long time after the creation of the earth to bring a stability between the forest and the animals. Being the greatest in intellect, man has proved to be the best in all respects. But the fact that man has occupied the best seat even in terms of cruelty can be understood only by observing his behavior on wildlife. In the name of development, man has repeatedly made the lives of forests and wildlife miserable. This article discusses the plight of forests and wildlife along with human development.
