During his school life, he was enthusiastic about various chemistry experiments. In addition to chemistry, he had a special fascination with romantic poetry. Vant Hoff showed that every material solution which can rotate one-way light planes to the right or to the left has one or more asymmetric carbon atoms. One of his most famous inventions is 'Nature of the Solutions' which was formed based on three formulas of osmotic pressure measurement. By keeping the temperature unchanged, the osmotic pressure of the dilute solution is proportional to the concentration. In 1901 Vant Hoff received the first Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
