Description	In the article, many secrets of dragonflies have been uncovered. Though extremely innocent, they are terribly violent animals; they provide their livelihood by eating native animals. These are winged animals, but childhood and adolescence are under the water. There are few varieties whose young ones are born on the hill. If you look at it sometimes you will find that two splinters on the water are strangely almost stationary while flying in the same place - and repeatedly pushing the tail into the water. This is the technique of laying their eggs. Thus they can get some eggs together in the water. Within two or three days, the eggs hatch and the young ones come out, and sometimes the eggs will gradually become larger. এই প্রবন্ধে ফড়িংয়ের অনেক রহস্য উন্মোচণ করা হয়েছে। নিতান্ত নিরীহ মনে হলেও ভয়ানক হিংস্র প্রকৃতির প্রাণী এরা; স্বজাতীয় প্রাণীদের উদরসাৎ করেই জীবিকা নির্বাহ করে। ফড়িং ডানাওয়ালা প্রাণী অথচ শৈশব ও কৈশোর তার কাটে জলের নীচে। অল্প জাতের ফড়িং আছে যাদের বাচ্চা জন্মায় ডাঙ্গার উপর। একটু লক্ষ্য রাখলেই দেখা যাবে মাঝে মাঝে জলের উপর দু -একটা ফড়িং অদ্ভুতভাবে একইস্থানে উড়ন্ত অবস্থায় প্রায় স্থিরভাবে রয়েছে এবং লেজটাকে বাঁকিয়ে বারবার জলের গায়ে ঠেকাচ্ছে। এটাই হচ্ছে ওদের ডিম্ পাড়ার কৌশল এভাবে এরা জলের মধ্যে একসঙ্গে কতকগুলো ডিম পেড়ে যায়। দু -তিন দিনের মধ্যেই ডিম ফুটে ছোট ছোট বাচ্চা বেরিয়ে আসে এবং মাঝে মাঝে খোলস বদলে ক্রমশ বড়ো হয়ে ওঠে।
