Abstract	El fin primario de la medicina es procurar la curación, aliviar el dolor y fomentar la salud del paciente, no obstante en algunas ocasiones entra en conflicto con móviles secundarios. Este artículo pretende definir qué es un conflicto de interés, las distintas formas en el que este se manifiesta en el acto médico, como una herramienta que permita al médico una adecuada toma de decisiones en su relación con la industria farmacéutica.(The primary purpose of medicine is to seek healing, relieve pain and promote patient health. However, sometimes there may be conflicts with secondary motives. This article seeks to define what a conflict of interest is, the ways in which it appears in clinical practice, and how it can be used as a tool to help doctors in their decision-making vis-à-vis the pharmaceutical industry.)
