| Abstract | Les méthodes basées sur l'Analyse du Cycle de Vie (A.C.V.) permettent de réaliser une évaluation globale et complète des impacts environnementaux des produits, depuis la phase de production jusqu'à l'utilisation et l'élimination («du berceau à la tombe»), selon des concepts reconnus et standardisés au niveau international. Ces méthodes ont jusqu'à présent été très peu appliquées au secteur de la construction et des matériaux, domaine qui présente pourtant un intérêt majeur puisque les flux de matières et d'énergie y sont importants et que les constructions et ouvrages ont une durée de vie relativement longue.Une méthode d'analyse, basée sur le calcul des écoprofils, a été appliquée dans le cadre de l'étude de la construction d'un hall industriel, soit en béton, soit en acier, soit en bétons/bois lamellé-collé; les matériaux mais aussi les phases et procédés de construction sont comparés du point de vue de leur impact environnemental.Cette analyse constitue, à côté des facteurs techniques et économiques, une nouvelle approche permettant notamment au concepteur et au donneur d'ordres d'avoir une vision globale de l'interaction des constructions avec leur environnement.Methodologies based on Life Cycle Assessment (L.C.A.) give the opportunity to realise a global and complete evaluation of the environmental effects of products from their production to their use and elimination (from craddle to grave); methods used for analysis are internationally wellknown and standardised. These methods are rarely used in construction materials area, although materials flows and energy consumption are important and constructions have a long way of life.A calculation methodology, based on ecofactors/ecopoints, has been used for the analysis of industrial hall made of concrete, steel, or concrete/wood structure; materials but also construction process are compared at the point of view of their environmental impact.This analysis completes the technical and economical approaches for the construction owner and designer and gives a global view of the interaction between construction and civil engineering, and environment. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
