Abstract	The paper in this issue's Education section takes the reader into an important area of statistics in an interesting and practical way. In "Multiple Comparison Methods for Means," Rafter, Abell, and Braselton give a clear and thorough explanation of the class of methods that are used to investigate differences between subsets of population means using sample data. This is a common application for which there are several types of approaches and a number of different methods for each approach, all of which are not necessarily well understood by many users. The authors motivate and explain this area clearly, using examples throughout the paper to make the concepts concrete. The examples draw upon on extensive set of Mathematica programs that are freely available on the World Wide Web. The website also contains a comprehensive set of laboratory exercises that reinforce the text, as well as programs that implement all the methods discussed in the paper and the examples that it contains. The combination of the paper and the web-based applications makes this material ideally suited as a module for a variety of classes in statistics.
