| Abstract | Student perspectives regarding the process of problem based learning at Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak Rasidah Abd Wahab Abstract The objective of this study was to determine the Year 1 and Year 2 medical students’ perception on the exercise of problem based learning (PBL) in the preclinical year curriculum. The data was drawn from a survey conducted among 134 medical students. The result shows that the students perceived PBL stimulating their learning environment; enable them to practice team work and problem solving skill. More in depth study should be done qualitatively to gather evidence on the effectiveness of PBL and subsequently improve it. |
