| Abstract | In this note we consider subgroups of the automorphism group of a 2 - (v, k, 1) design. The notation is standard, see, for example, [2]. The number of blocks through a point is r = v - l/k - 1 and the number of blocks b is vr/k. Recall that a flag is an incident point-block pair. There are two main results in this note. The first is straightforward, but essential to the proof of the second. |
