| Abstract | The objective of this research is to understand the relationship between immediate verbal memory and phonological awareness in a sample available of 120 children 5 years old of both sexes of a school district’s initial state of Bellavista, this is a correlational design. Assessment instruments were psychology Evaluates Battery-0 Garcia and Gonzalez (1999) to assess immediate verbal memory and linguistic segmentation Test Form A (PSL) of Jiménez and Ortiz (1998) to assess phonological awareness. The results suggest that there is high positive correlation between immediate verbal memory and phonological awareness. |
