| Abstract | MG Medios Graficos is dedicated to production and execution of print jobs, among the most prominent types of jobs we can find approaches advertising, stationery and any other work where lithographic processes involved. For these reason and due to not implemented in the work of Production Company, was decided to make this project to identify gaps in production and to reduce unnecessary costs for the company. Agree with the initial diagnostic made through a kind of census, could be identified problems which would be our starting point for research. As a general conclusion of the surveys was reached that there is no proper planning in carrying out the work, does not take good control of production orders, lack of capacity is obvious since a bit should be limited to performing certain amount of work and lastly not have well-defined times in each of the areas. Thanks to research supported by MG Medios Graficos, information was obtained about the overall costs, sales from 2009 to 2011, estimation of times each of the processes and the wide range of products made for the company. Whit this information the first thing done was to identify the most important products according to sales by the ABC method, then followed the forecast and determined that the most appropriate methods to realize it was winter since it represented a claim with seasonal variation. And the demand planning and each of the parts of the products was performed by MRP (Planning Material Requirements). Subsequently, with the previous results, we proceeded to perform the aggregate planning through a linear programming model comprising the variables needed for the development of this model applied to the project. The results obtained show significantly decreased costs, if it is a plan in the most appropriate. After this application is a simulation using the software ARENA software to show the times that really lasted one unit of each product to the course of the whole process. And with this program do the necessary test to demonstrate the improvements in his plan and control production in the company MG Medios Graficos. |
