Abstract	The aim of this paper is to automate the methodology used for landslide susceptibility analysis of Azufral River basin in the town of Consacá through developing and executing workflows that string together sequences of geoprocessing tools, feeding the output of one tool into another tool as input. This is done by map algebra expressions and functions and from the tools available in the ArcToolbox, like Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, and Analysis Tools, among the many packed in the ArcGis 10 software. ArcGis is a simple yet powerful set of tools to perform the required geographical analysis, which are, in this particular case, the identification, landslide susceptibility analysis and zoning. Additionally, other processes join in like the ones obtained from digital elevation model (DEM), land cover. Also external factors such as precipitation and areas affected by earthquakes caused by Romeral and Buesaco faults are taken in account to generating the final result in ModelBuilder. Despite the fact that landslide phenomena is the most frequent cause of disasters in Colombia, Consaca’s maps and cartography methods are outdated; like it is in most Colombian towns whose particular characteristics should be analysed in order to prevent future catastrophes. They ought to be studied applying five morphodynamics indicators: relief, lithology, land cover, earthquakes and rainfall. Azufral River basin will be zoned using a scale of five levels: very low, low, moderate, high, very high. Quick decision making will be prioritized over 1:25.000 scale. Furthermore, the study will be useful for land ordinance and layout of townships to be carried out by government agencies.
