| Abstract | Today’s missions for U.S. Soldiers call for a greater emphasis on training in cross-cultural interactions. In this paper, we propose a general framework that can be applied to many cross-cultural interactions. The framework serves as the basis of an ontological model which could be used to capture how particular culturally relevant behaviors impact the quality of cross-cultural interactions. The utility of this approach is that it can be applied to the development of wide variety of training simulations which focus on improving cross-cultural interactions. |
