Abstract	Introduction: As the population ages, some public needs such as transportation and health are necessary for the best care of the elderly population. Mobility is one of the factors responsible for the quality of the aging individual, it ensures the maintenance of daily activities and independence of the elderly the urban mobility is experienced by the use of urban public transportation and this system is a public service that needs to be improved to meet the demand for their elderly members. Objective: To describe the relation between urban mobility and how its influence in promoting the health of its members, especially the elderly. Methodology: The survey period from February to May 2013 was conducted through a literature survey on various bases of scientific online (scielo, bireme, capes, Sciense direct) databases using the keys crawler search words. All materials were collected and screened described in order to demonstrate the importance of research and position itself clearly the importance of the public management of the quality of urban public transport system describing the aspects of health that can be worked preventively and actions health promotion through a quality public transport and efficient. Conclusion: It is seen that over the years people become more vulnerable to hazards such as fall events, so the face of increasing elderly population and the need for the provision of urban mobility with quality and safety of individuals, vehicles that make up the public transport system as well as the management of this public system should seek enhancements and improvements to well meet the demand of its users.
