| Abstract | This paper reflects on the organizational change experienced by the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) and the relationship of such change with the situation of higher education in Mexico and worldwide. This reflection starts with a description of the main characteristics of current world dynamics and continues with the way in which higher education tries to respond to the great challenges posed by world reality; it then concludes with the experience of the UABC, in a deep change process which tries to encompass structural aspects and issues that have to do with the organizational culture of the institution. |
