| Abstract | espanolLa mezcla del polvo procedente de las industrias de granito y de pizarra, y del agua utilizada en sus procesos de corte y pulido para arrastrarlos a balsas de decantacion, son el origen de un importante problema medioambiental. El pequeno tamano de sus particulas se diseminan con facilidad por la accion del agua y del viento afectando negativamente a la flora y la fauna. La posibilidad de utilizar estos residuos para fabricar materiales ceramicos de construccion mediante compactacion y posterior sinterizacion, podria dar solucion a la acumulacion de estos residuos dotandolos ademas de un valor anadido. En esta tesis se caracterizaran los materiales de partida, se evaluaran sus caracteristicas, propiedades y se determinaran posibles aplicaciones en la construccion del material sinterizado procedente de la pizarra, del granito y de la mezcla de estos en distintos porcentajes. EnglishThe mixture of dust from industries granite and slate, and the water used in its cutting and polishing processes for settling ponds drag them, are the source of a major environmental problem. The small size of its particles spread easily by the action of water and wind adversely affecting the flora and fauna. The possibility of using such waste for making ceramic building materials by compacting and subsequent sintering, could provide a solution to the accumulation of these waste equipping addition value. In this thesis we characterize the starting materials will be assessed their characteristics, properties and identify potential applications in the construction of the sintered material from slate, granite and the mixture of them in different percentages. |
