Abstract	Resumen Abstract A veinte anos de distancia de la fir-ma del Tratado de Libre Comercio de America del Norte, el presente ensayo ofrece un panorama general acerca de los principales resultados, los obstacu-los y las limitaciones que se disciernen en el proceso de generacion de condiciones para el acceso al mercado estadounidense de servicios profesionales por parte de los ciudadanos mexicanos. Se presentan dos aspectos del tema: por un lado, la evolu-cion cuantitativa de la autorizacion de vi-sas de internacion temporal para ocupacio-nes altamente especializadas, y por otro la trayectoria de los trabajos de concertacion en torno a la certificacion internacional de titulos y licencias para el ejercicio profe-sional en el exterior. Con base en ello, se propone una discusion sobre las condicio-nes actuales y las perspectivas a futuro en la materia. T he present essay offers a general view over twenty years after the signature of the North American Free Trade Agreement, to bring over the principal results, the obstacles and limita-tions that are recognized in the generation access conditions process to the professio-nal services on the American market and Mexican citizens. We present two aspects: on one hand, the quantitative evolution on visas authorization for temporary highly specialized occupations and, on the other hand, the path of conciliation works con-cerning the degrees and licenses on inter-national certification for the professional exercise abroad.
