| Abstract | Christina Akrivopoulou holds a PhD in Constitutional Law. Her main research interests concern human and constitutional rights, the protection of the right to privacy, data protection, the private-public distinction and citizenship. She teaches law as a Special Scientist in the faculty of Political Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace and in the Hellenic Open University, in Greece where she currently lives. She also is a post doctoral researcher of the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and she works as an attorney of law at the Thessaloniki Law Bar Association. She is collaborating with several Greek law reviews and she is a member of many non-governmental human rights organizations in Greece and abroad. She has edited for IGI the volume, Personal Data Privacy and Protection in a Surveillance Era: Technologies and Practices which has been published in 2010.
