| Abstract | The word sociability has been used by the social sciences from their beginnings to denote academic disciplines, and perhaps for this reason the vague and non-critical character of this concept goes unnoticed. The aim of this article is to generate a concept of sociability that overcomes the exclusions and classical dichotomies of anthropology, and one that can support the study of human social relationships, from a wide perspective, as opposed to the principles of modernity.
