| Abstract | The access to television services by People with Special Needs (PSN) in most countries, including Portugal, is a challenge that few companies inside the media field has turned into an opportunity. The actual work arises from an agreement between Portugal Telecom (PT) and the Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering and Accessibility (CERTIC) of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), and comprises a depth study about the Accessibility and Usability of MEO Digital TV service. In this work are presented the results of this study regarding the developed MEO alternative commands and the MEO services, applications and equipments, where it was possible to identify several problems and their proposed solutions. It is also exhibited an implementation plan where are listed all the priority proposed solutions separated by the sort of the users’ limitations. |
