Abstract	Management of academic information in SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bekasi still using manual method. School management academic management uses only certain applications so that paper and archive media has not been fully integrated. With such a system, will certainly slow down the performance and delivery of academic information. So to speed up the delivery of information is needed a web-based academic information system. With the medium of internet media, of course, the delivery of information will be faster. Method of development of academic information system used by writer is waterfall method. As a tool of development of web-based academic system the author uses the navigation structure. For the proposed database design of Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and Logical Record Structure (LRS). Technique of collecting data is done by observation, interview and literature study. Implementation of the program using Adobe Dreamweaver CS8 with MySQL database using PhpMyAdmin. With the design of web-based academic information system at SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bekasi, it is expected that the information delivery process will be more effective and efficient, so that the school's residents, especially teachers, staff and students can know the information anytime and anywhere. Manajemen akademik sekolah pengelolaannya hanya menggunakan aplikasi tertentu sehingga media kertas dan arsip belum terintegrasi sepenuhnya. Dengan sistem yang demikian, tentunya akan memperlambat kinerja dan penyampaian informasi akademik tersebut. Maka untuk mempercepat penyampaian informasi tersebut diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi akademik berbasis web. Dengan perantara media internet, tentunya penyampaian informasi akan menjadi lebih cepat. Metode pengembangan sistem informasi akademik yang digunakan penulis adalah metode waterfall. Sebagai alat pengembangan sistem akademik berbasis web penulis menggunakan struktur navigasi. Untuk perancangan database yang diusulkan berupa Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) dan Logical Record Structure (LRS). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Implementasi program menggunakan Adobe Dreamweaver CS8 dengan database MySQL menggunakan PhpMyAdmin . Dengan dirancangnya sistem informasi akademik berbasis web di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bekasi diharapkan proses penyampaian informasi menjadi lebih efektif dan efisisen, sehingga warga sekolah khususnya guru, staff dan siswa dapat mengetahui informasi yang ada kapan saja dan dimana saja.
