| Abstract | Sulphur is one of a component in the presence of coal can be either organic sulphur and inorganic sulphur. There are several ways the origin of sulfur in coal, which are derived from the influence of the sedimented layers flanking the marine environment (Horne et al, 1978), the influence of sea water during the deposition process plant, microbial processes, and pH’s changes (Casagrande, et. al., 1987). According Suits and Arthur (2000) in Anggayana and Widayat (2007), sulphure can be formed due to the influence of biogenic material in the coal itself, sea water, and outside influences.
